Julius Gaudio Appointed to Crisis Group’s Board of Directors

Crisis Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Julius Gaudio to its Board of Directors.

Julius Gaudio is a managing director of D. E. Shaw & Co., L.P. and serves as Chairman of the Board of DESRI, a developer, owner and operator of renewable energy projects across the United States. He is also on the Board of Directors of Artsy, an online marketplace for the art world; and the CEO of the Gaudio Family Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to a range of charitable causes. Julius and his family have been close supporters of Crisis Group’s work, joining the Board of Trustees in early 2024.
