Amnesty International submits this document in response to the call for inputs issued by the Independent Expert on protection against violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity for the preparation of his thematic report on violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, bisexual and queer (LBQ) women. This submission compiles Amnesty International’s existing research and documentation relevant to LBQ women, with a view to supporting the mandate’s analysis of patterns of violence, discrimination, and gaps in protection.
