When it comes to Southwest Airlines’ longest routes, Hawaii will almost always dominate the rankings. Meanwhile, the carrier’s new services to Alaska, while long, are beaten in duration by plenty of its other corridors. As far as the lower 48 US states are concerned, however, next week will see a new leader in scheduled block time when Southwest starts flying from Boston to San Diego.
